Chateau Fieuzal l Abeille de Fieuzal Pessac-Leognan blanc 2019

The good reputation of Château de Fieuzal makes it one of the jewels of the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Since 2001, the 75-hectare vineyard has belonged to an Irish couple, Brenda and Lochlann Quinn, both passionate about French wines. They have hired Stephen Carrier (formerly Lynch-Bages) as winemaker and Hubert de Bouärd, owner of Château Angélus, as consultant. Working alongside organic principles, their goal is to continue the technical improvements in winemaking and vine growing, while retaining the essence of the wine of Graves. L’Abeille de Fieuzal is the second wine of the estate

WINEMAKER NOTES

Château de Fieuzal

by Stephen Carrier

The 2019 vintage displays a beguiling bouquet of ripe mirabelle plums, green tea, nectarine skin and hints of fine vanilla. The medium-bodied palate shows grapefruit, verbena and lemongrass, with a touch of refreshing minerality
