Domaine Grand Veneur Chateauneuf-du-Pape Les Origines 2012
Dear Wine Lover,
In 1826, the Jaume family decided to cultivate the vines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape , but it is above all since 1979, thanks to Alain Jaume, that the estate has experienced a real boom, with the creation of the Grand Veneur estate. Benefiting from some of the most beautiful terroirs in the region covering 78 hectares on both sides of the Rhône, the children - Sébastien, Christophe and Hélène, take up the torch with dignity, working to ensure the prosperity of the estate through sustainable cultivation and meticulous work resulting in rich and powerful wines, but not devoid of finesse. To quote Jeb Dunnuck: "There are few better run estates in the world than that of the Jaume Family’s Domaine Grand Veneur!".
Les Origines 2012 has a deep, brilliant, purple-red color, and displays an exciting nose with aromas of black fruit (blackcurrant, cherry), spices and vanilla. This great aromatic complexity is also found on the palate, the spices and ripe fruit appear with an elegant woodiness and harmonious tannins. The finish has good aromatic length and introduces a touch of liquorice and pepper.
