Lagrange is a vintage marked by strong climatic contrasts, 2018 began with rainy conditions, while the summer was one of the hottest and dryest ever recorded since 1996. At Château Lagrange, the grape harvest began on September 20th and ended October 13, 2018.

A red Grand Vin from Saint-Julien, the Château Lagrange 2018 blends Cabernet Sauvignon (67%), Merlot (28%) and Petit Verdot (5%). The wine is aged in oak barrels (50% new oak) for 21 months.

Chateau Lagrange

by Matthieu Bordes
Dark color with purple tint on the rim, black cherry, blackcurrant, and fresh prune. Powerful and unctuous with a lot of freshness. This vintage seems to be very approachable and well balanced. Tannins are dense and very silky. This amazing wine looks like a blend between the 2009 and 2016. 2018 is the ultimate generous wine. Blend: 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot
