This Grand Cru Classé situated between Cheval Blanc and Figeac, has been run on biodynamic organic principles since 1997. It has become a favourite for its rich flavour, its purity and round texture and for its excellent value. Made from a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc aged for one year in 50% new oak and 50% one year old oak, the 2012 was a good success for the domaine. The wine is very elegant and fine on the palate and has lovely structure and notes of cedar, leather and fresh plums in the finish.

Chateaux La Tour Figeac

by Pierre Blois
To produce the wine of Chateau La Tour Figeac, the grapes are whole berry fermented in a combination of stainless steel and open top, large, oak tanks with a 30-day cuvaison. Microbullage is preformed under the cap. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrel. The wine is aged in 50% new French oak barrels for an average of 18 months with the wine aging on its lees for a portion of that time.
