Constantly awarded by national and international wine critics as one of the greatest Italian wines, Lupicaia is a product of great character, a full-bodied red with complex aromas. A wine for aging and meditation. The highly selected grapes for this great red, mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, come from the Lupicaia vineyard, located in the most suitable part of the Castello del Terriccio vineyard and bordered by rows of eucalyptus. Lupicaia owes its name to a local toponym that originates from the stream of the same name where wolves were once sighted

Castello del Terriccio

by Vittorio Piozzo di Rosignano Rossi di Medelana
Lupicaia is mainly composed of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The aging takes place separately in tonneaux d'Allier for about 22 months, then there is a subsequent assembly, and a further period of aging in the bottle before being marketed. This wine comes from the attention and care taken in all the processes of its production, such as the manual selection of the best grapes and aging in tonneaux. 30,000 bottles per year.
