When the Maroteaux family bought Château Branaire-Ducru in 1988, they decided to write a new chapter in the history of this Classified Fourth Growth estate and embarked on massive refurbishment involving all the components that contribute to the production of great wine: the vines, the vathouse and cellars, as well as the Château itself, located in the heart of the Médoc and surrounded by the other great Classified Growths that populate this outstanding terroir

Chateau Branaire-Ducru

by Francois Xavier Maroteaux
The 2004 vintage is a pure and classic Saint-Julien, displaying complex licorice, cranberry, boysenberry, and floral notes interwoven with expressions of plums and figs. On the palate, it exhibits grip in a linear style, and a structured, 1999-type personality with elegance, crisp acidity, and moderate tannins

Sustainably Made
