The 2009 vintage expresses lively aromas of black currant, raspberry and cracked pepper, all matched to a steely backbone. The minerality is so strong that there is a Chablis-like saline character to it. Everything is woven together in this chiseled Volnay that impresses for its energy, delineation and sheer underlying structure. Finishes with substantial ripe tannins and very good length
