Les Vaucopins is a very well sited 1er Cru vineyard within the Domaine Long-Depaquit stable of excellent Chablis vineyard sites. It has a southern exposure, steep slopes, and the classic Kimmeridgian clay subsoil in common with its Grand Cru peers. The vineyard is 5.2 hectares and is planted with vines an average of 31 years old

The 2018 vintage displays a forward and expressive style of Chablis that shows some toast character from oak, brioche from lees aging, and attractive aromas of citrus and fresh quince. The palate has a beguiling mix of rich, almost oily texture with a hint of wet stones bringing a perfect counterpoint to the white flower and green apple core of fruit. Layer upon layer of flavor unfurls on the long finish of this cristalline wine
