Château Siran is a little gem in Margaux! The soil type is alluvial sandy gravel and the blend generally comprises 50% Cabernet sauvignon, 35% Merlot and the remainder Cabernet franc and Petit verdot. After fermentation in stainless steel vats, the wine spends 12-14 months in barriques; about 60-70% are new each year

The 2020 vintage reveals an intense and complex nose of black fruits, tobacco, cocoa and cedar. The palate is ripe and opulent with great tannic richness, some dusty, loamy, earthy notes intermixed with licorice and herbs. A thin and elegant frame leads to a balanced finish
