Terroir Renowned for its fine wines that are considered to be "feminine", the grapes for our cuvée come from a plot in the "Les Gamaires" climate. It is located in the extreme northeast of the Chambolle-Musigny appellation, beneath "Les Bussières”, which is considered to be one of the appellation’s most prestigious climates. Our plot also lies adjacent to Morey-Saint-Denis ("Les Porroux" climat) and its geographic proximity to this appellation may be detected in the wine. Planted at altitudes of between 250 and 300 metres, the vines benefit from full eastern exposure. Vinification and aging is performed according to tradition using only de-stemmed, hand-picked grapes. Fermentation begins under the influence of indigenous yeasts, and punch down is performed parsimoniously. The wine is aged for 14 months in one and two-year-old oak barrels. Tasting notes Gorgeous, deep colour. The nose boasts remarkable complexity with its expressive aromas of red fruit (raspberry and strawberry), ripe cherry, chocolate truffle, spices, and humus. Starts off smooth and velvety on the palate. This wine features complex body, a great deal of depth and an ethereal, lacy finish that is long and fresh. Notes of rose typical of the appellation may also be detected.
