Domaine Marquis d'Angerville
Domaine Marquis d’Angerville is a hillside estate in Burgundy’s Cote de Beaune. The domain of about 15 hectares is concentrated on the commune of Volnay, with a little more than 11 hectares in Volnay 1er Cru. From 1952 until his death in 2003, Jacques d’Angerville made his family’s domain the village’s icon. He left behind a magnificently held estate, reference wines and a true philosophy of the great wines of Burgundy. His son Guillaume d’Angerville took over the domain in 2003, the know-how of the lost generations being transmitted in continuity. In 2006, he began the domain's conversion to biodynamics

Domaine Marquis d'Angerville

by Guillaume d’Angerville
Domaine Marquis D’Angerville wines are revered around the world for their exquisite "purity, precision and elegance’" to quote the wine critics. Since taking over in 2003, Guillaume d’Angerville has modernized the estate while retaining his father’s non-interventionist approach to winemaking and passion for preserving terroir character. Perhaps the most significant change Guillaume d’Angerville has made since taking over has been his adoption of biodynamic principles
