Castello del Terriccio
The winery is located in the municipality of Castellina (Chianti-Classico area in the province of Siena) in the Italian region of Tuscany, about five kilometres from the sea. Its origins date back to the Middle Ages and since 1975, it has been managed by Cavaliere Gian Annibale Rossi di Medelana Serafini Ferri. The oenologists are Carlo Ferrini and Nicola Vaglini, the cellar master is Alessio Lo Conte

The estate covers a total of 1,700 hectares with 900 hectares of woods, 600 hectares of pasture, about 10,000 olive trees and about 50 hectares of vineyards. Until the 1970s, it was mainly known for the production of cereals. At the end of the 1980s the vineyards were replanted. The red wine varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Syrah, and the white wine varieties are Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier
