Château des Moriers
Château des Moriers is a family vineyard embedded in the north of the Beaujolais region in the cru Fleurie, adjacent to Moulin-à-Vent. Our family house faces the Brirette's slopes where we grow our oldest vines (65 yo and older). The vineyard is 9 hectares on a poor soil of pink granites, the perfect fit for our Gamay grapes to mature slowly. It produces elegant and crunchy wines with a good potential for aging. Château des Moriers’ two flagship wines, Moulin-à-Vent and Fleurie, are aged in 400 liters barrels for over 10 months. We use 30% new oak for the Moulin-à-Vent, but mostly older oak for the Fleurie. The vineyard is in organic conversion
