Sense of Place Wines was born out of a passion to produce wines that could be expressive and authentic with our first vintage in 2012. Our mission is to find varietally expressive sites in California to produce our small lot wines. We are committed to organic and sustainable farming practices and we choose only to work with vineyard partners who share the same passion. We strive to bring forth the singular expression of each site by tailoring a specific winemaking plan to each vintage and vineyard. Minimal intervention winemaking which includes native yeasts and allowing the fruit to make its own path, we believe results in wines that are balanced and bare the blueprint of the particular vineyard and vintage.
