Valdicava | Buy Wine Future |
Robert Parker asserts, "a strong argument can be made that Valdicava is among the top three or four Brunello di Montalcino producers." This small estate of only 28 hectares is situated in the Valdicava valley in Montosoli, just 3 miles north of the town of Montalcino in Tuscany. The only cultivar here is Sangiovese, divided into just 9 vineyard areas, of which, only the top four premium vineyards go into producing the Brunello. All Valdicava grapes are organically grown and no chemical pesticides or fertilizers are used in the vineyards. Total production of the estate is just 6,000 cases
