Château Lynch Bages
Château Lynch Bages is a property that has marked the history of the Médoc. While the Bages terroir has been known for its quality since the 16th century, it was only in the 18th century that it became famous. With an Irishman by the name of Thomas Lynch at the helm of the estate, Château Lynch Bages was recognised at the Universal Exhibition in Paris. The estate was acquired by the Jean-Michel Cazes family right after the Second World War, and is today considered one of the most important references of the Pauillac appellation

Acknowledged as one of the most important references of the Pauillac appellation, Château Lynch Bages has long been a clear favorite for US consumers, thanks in part to Jean-Michel Cazes’ pioneering efforts to reach out to America in the 1970s. His efforts garnered him Wine Spectator’s Distinguished Service Award in 2007. According to his son Jean-Charles, who now runs the estate, the US market is responsible for 15 to 20 percent of Lynch Bages sales
